Proposed Prohibition on Consumption of Alcohol

Proposal to Prohibit Consumption of Alcohol at the Norm Fox Sportsground and
Queen Elizabeth Park
Section 632 of The Local Government Act, 1993

The Barrier Local Area Command has sought Council's consideration of a ban on alcohol consumption at the above named grounds, as is currently in force at Sturt Park and Patton Park.

Council has consulted with its Norm Fox Sporting Complex Management Committee and Queen Elizabeth/North Mine Hall Management Committee and both Section 355 Committees support the proposal.

Written comment on the proposal is invited from the general public and will be recieved until the close of business on Tuesday July 22, 2008.
