Broken Hill Regional Aquatic Centre Open Times - 30 October 2009
Council advises that the following hours will apply for October 2009. Mon-Thurs: 6am - 8pm. 50m open - all other pools closed. Friday: 6am -12pm and 5pm - 8pm 50m open - all other pools closed.                              Sat & Sun: 8am - 8pm. 50m open - all other pools closed.       Admission $2.00 per person including non swimmers. Public use of 50m pool will be restricted to: 2 lanes from 5pm-8pm Mon- Thurs 3 lanes only from 5pm- 8pm Fri- Sat from October 16, 2009 3 lanes only from 8am-10am each Sunday from October 18, 2009 Times may be checked by calling the Administration Centre on 8080 3300 or the Aquatic Centre on 8080 3511.

Darling River Water Saving Project - 14 October 2009
A range of options is being investigated to improve the water supply and management of the entire Darling River system. This includes measures to reduce evaporation losses from Menindee Lakes which can be as high as 750 gigalitres in dry years.

Australia Day Celebrations
Australia Day, January 26, is one of the biggest days of celebration in the nation.

Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery
The Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery provides an annual program of locally curated exhibitions along with touring exhibitions from major cultural institutions. A selection of works from the collection is on permanent display in the upstairs gallery. The annual program endeavours to include work by established and emerging Aboriginal artists from around the Far West region of New South Wales.
